DAS Solar TOPCon modules stand out in specific energy yield rankings in the PV Magazine Module Test

2024-03-10

The PV Magazine Module Test recently released its results. DAS Solar's N-type modules achieved stand out due to their outstanding performance in specific energy yield rankings.

The PV Magazine Module Test is a specialized test of photovoltaic module performance and power generation, initiated by PV Magazine, the globally renowned authority in renewable energy. This assessment includes module aesthetics, EL, low irradiance, temperature coefficients, and PID. This test was conducted at the GSOL laboratory in Xi'an. CEA was selected as the testing organization to ensure the quality of the photovoltaic module testing process, while LT served as an independent third-party expert to oversee all steps of the testing process, guaranteeing that the evaluations were impartial and authoritative.

The key metrics for evaluating photovoltaic products are their photoelectric conversion efficiency, energy yield capacity, and reliability. One of the key indicators of energy yield performance of photovoltaic modules is low-irradiance performance (power generation capability under low irradiance). The N-type modules of DAS Solar stand out for their exceptional performance under low irradiance. DAS Solar has continually delved into the N-type technology, consistently innovating with TOPCon 4.0 cells that utilize N-type crystalline silicon substrates with higher internal resistance and longer minority carrier lifetimes, in conjunction with superior passivation techniques, demonstrating enhanced low irradiance. The excellent low irradiance performance extends the energy yield duration of photovoltaic plants in the morning and evening hours and improves the energy yield efficiency of photovoltaic systems. As compared with modules of the same type, DAS Solar N-type modules have a significant performance advantage under test conditions of 1000W/㎡、800W/㎡、400W/㎡、200W/㎡.

As a N-type leader, DAS Solar is dedicated to continuous exploration and rigorous research in N-type technology, consistently surpassing industry standards in cell and module efficiency. DAS Solar has developed the TOCon 4.0 Plus high-efficiency cell that boasts an efficiency of 26.36% and an open-circuit voltage of 742mV, breaking the world record again. Equipped with DAS Solar TOPCon 4.0 cell technology, DAS Solar N-type modules offered advantages such as zero light-induced degradation (LID), higher bifaciality, lower temperature coefficient, and superior performance under weak light conditions, meeting the diverse requirements of various application scenarios. These modules consistently demonstrated their technological and product leadership and reliability in specific energy yield rankings in the PV Magazine Module Test. Furthermore, DAS Solar N-type modules achieved an average energy yield of 6.59% in outdoor testing compared with P-type modules at a Qinghai photovoltaic plant. In addition, N-type modules achieved a 4.41% average energy yield at a Hainan photovoltaic plant. These results demonstrate the ability of modules to achieve optimal value throughout their entire lifecycle.

DAS Solar stands as a reliable and professional enterprise in the N-type field. DAS Solar's PV laboratory had obtained CNAS laboratory accreditation, TÜV SÜD’s TMP accreditation and TÜV Nord's CTF witness laboratory qualification. DAS Solar will offer global customers a reliable assurance of long-term optimal value in the future.
