On August 18th, the second China photovoltaic GREENPV conference - "N-type TOPCon Technology and Supply Chain", jointly organized by the CHINA ECOPV ALLIANCE and DAS Solar, was held in Jiaxing. During the conference, DAS Solar, a top-tier brand in N-type technology, held a launch ceremony of its latest N-type technology products and unveiled the new generation of high-efficiency N-type 3.0 BBF module with the cutting-edge TOPCon 3.0 Plus technology. This affirming DAS Solar's steadfast commitment to ongoing innovation and the continual redefinition of energy efficiency standards.
"DAS Solar is into mass production of TOPCon 3.0 plus, leveraging i-SE, ut-PolySi, and mt-Pass technologies. Equipped with DAS Solar's cutting-edge TOPCon 3.0 plus cell technology, the cell achieved an impressive cell laboratory efficiency of up to 26.24%, and the open circuit voltage of 730mV". Liu Yong, the Chairman and President of DAS Solar, said that the rapid growth of the industry is inseparable from ongoing technological innovation. "The photovoltaic industry is presently confronting numerous challenges. In order to achieve sustainable and low-carbon development, the solar market should enhance collaborative integration, optimize the industrial chain structure, and collectively strive for the enduring and steady expansion of the photovoltaic sector."
High-efficiency N-type 3.0 BBF module features and core advantages
During the conference, Dr. Song Dengyuan, the CTO of DAS Solar, presented the features and core advantages of the high-efficiency N-type 3.0 BBF module. This module integrates DAS Solar's N-type TOPCon 3.0 Plus technology and the new Bus Bar Free (BBF) technology. This innovative technology enables a module power output of up to 640W, coupled with an impressive conversion efficiency of 23%.
Over the past decade, driven by the goal of lowering silver consumption per watt and reducing surface shading, the technology of photovoltaic cells has been evolving along with Multi Bus Bar (MBB) technology. Nonetheless, achieving a balance between shading and conductivity is essential in the design of busbar. Further augmentation of the busbar quantity would face challenges. DAS Solar's BBF technology eliminates the traditional front-side busbar on solar cells. It gathers current from the fine gridlines through solder strips, enabling cell interconnection. This innovative technology design substantially reduces silver paste consumption, promoting additional silicon wafer thinning for cost reduction. Concurrently, it enhances soldering efficiency, reduces equipment costs, and elevates Current Transfer Multiplication (CTM). The augmented contact points between solder wires and fine gridlines reduce losses resulting from potential cell cracks, significantly heightening module reliability and stability.
High-efficiency N-type 3.0 BBF module encompasses the benefits of the N-type 3.0 series, encompassing high efficiency, elevated power output, advanced bidirectional efficiency, reduced hidden cracks, and a low-temperature coefficient. Additionally, it upholds an extraordinarily low carbon footprint, leading to a further reduction in the levelized cost of electricity for photovoltaic systems, which provides customers with enhanced and consistent returns.
DAS Solar received three awards at the GREENPV conference: the 2023 Annual GREENPV Technology Innovation Award (Photovoltaic Cell ), the 2023 Annual GREENPV Technology Innovation Award (Photovoltaic Module) and the 2023 Annual GREENPV Elite Award (Photovoltaic Entrepreneurship Award). In the future, DAS Solar is poised to accelerate technological innovation, strengthen collaborative partnerships, and remain committed to utilizing digitization and intelligent processes to mitigate product energy consumption. DAS Solar will continue to deepen its integration into the global market and be dedicated to the creation of a green ecosystem and light up life with each ray of sunlight.
