Recently, the 200,000 kW/800,000 kWh energy storage system and the 800,000 kW market-oriented photovoltaic project of Guangdong No.2 Hydropower Engineering Company, supplied with modules by DAS Solar, have been successfully completed in Bachu County.
In Kashgar region, China's Xinjiang province, DAS Solar has supplied 1025024 pieces of high-efficiency bifacial double glass modules to Bachu project. A total of 25.98 billion yuan has been spent on the Northern of Bachu project, which covers an area of approximately 13,000 acres with 157,696 pile foundations. It is composed of 128 photovoltaic arrays, each with a capacity of 3.125 MW. This project is an integral part of the "Ten Million Kilowatt-Level New Energy Base" in Southern Xinjiang, which will provide dependable support for the Kashgar region's power grid. Furthermore, it will benefit the region's economic development and eco-system, enhancing its energy industry structure and creating a green environment for its development.
Averaging 2,740 hours of sunshine annually, Kashgar has abundant solar energy resources. Deserts, arid landscapes, and barren terrain offer abundant opportunities for photovoltaic power generation. It is also advantageously located for the establishment of PV plants due to its triangular 750 kV power grid transmission conditions between Kashgar, Bachu, and Shache. The local severe desertification, frequent strong winds, sandstorms, and other extreme weather conditions make photovoltaic modules more challenging to test. DAS Solar's bifacial double glass modules combine leading high-efficiency cell technology and have been thoroughly tested for durability and reliability, as well as outdoor power generation verification, ensuring their outstanding performance. With high-efficiency, high bifaciality, low degradation rate, and excellent weather resistance, these features reduce the cost of electricity, enabling modules to maintain exceptional power generation performance even in desert environments.
"Approximately 760 million kWh of green electricity will be supplied to the Kashgar region once the photovoltaic power generation project is completed. In comparison with coal plants of comparable scale, it will save around 250,000 tons of standard coal per year, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 650,000 tons and sulfur dioxide emissions by approximately 135 tons," said the leader of Bachu project. "By building the Bachu project, the regional electricity supply-demand imbalance will be alleviated as well as the local energy consumption structure will improve. For promoting green, low-carbon development, and economic transformation and upgrading of Southern Xinjiang, it is of great importance."
As a Tier 1 brand in PV manufactures, DAS Solar is dedicated to continuous exploration and rigorous research in N-type technology, consistently surpassing industry standards in cell and module efficiency. After years of dedicated research and development, DAS Solar has upgraded from TOPCon 1.0 to the latest TOPCon 4.0 plus cell technology. The cell achieved an impressive cell laboratory efficiency of up to 26.33%, and setting a world record for the large-area solar cells of cell efficiency. In the future, DAS Solar will also strategically position itself in the TBC, SCPC, TSiX, and SFOS solar cell technology. Cell conversion efficiencies are anticipated to be up 40%, further increasing the advancement of cutting-edge photovoltaic technologies.
