DAS Solar's N-type Modules Deliver Superior Performance with TOPCon 4.0 Plus Technology

The company has successively received the CNAS laboratory certification, TÜV Süd TMP laboratory certification, and TÜV Nord CTF2 laboratory certification, which indicate that the global renowned institutions have fully recognized the testing capability, management system, environment, personnel qualification and hardware of the DAS Solar PV laboratory.

 

With its recent inclusion in the 2024 Kiwa PVEL PV Module Reliability Scorecard and the title of "PQP Top Performer", DAS Solar once again demonstrates its leadership in N-type technology. In the PQP test, the company’s N-type dual-glass modules went through rigorous testing, including 600 thermal cycles, 2,000 hours of damp heat test, 192 hours of PID test, and dynamic mechanical load tests, demonstrating their superior power generation and adaptability to extreme climates, ultimately winning the Top Performer across five tests.

 

Featuring independently developed TOPCon 4.0 Plus technology, DAS Solar’s N-type modules achieve a mass production efficiency up to 26.6%, with the power output ranging from 430W to 715W. In a power plant in Qinghai, the N-type modules outperforms P-type modules, delivering a 6.59% gain in average power generation. Advanced design concepts and material selection realize higher bi-facial power generation efficiency, optimized temperature coefficients, stronger resistance to the risk of micro cracks, and lower LID, effectively reducing system BOS and LCOE, guaranteeing long-term gains for customers.

 

The versatility of DAS Solar’s N-type modules extends to diverse application scenarios. As the demands for PV systems grows and installation environments become increasingly complex, these modules have proven their reliability in various settings, including desert, urban, and floating PV systems. By virtue of their adaptability and multiple power options, N-type modules support installations from rooftop systems to utility ground-mounted power plants.

 

In terms of high-temperature performance, DAS Solar's N-type TOPCon cells have demonstrated exceptional power generation capabilities with an open-circuit voltage reaching 742mV and a temperature coefficient of -0.28%/°C. Tests have confirmed that these modules operate at temperatures 1.6°C lower than P-type modules, significantly improving energy yields. In a power plant in Hainan, N-type modules achieve a 4.41% power generation gain compared to P-type modules, showcasing the superior performance of N-type technology. 

 

The modules also excel in extreme environments, from the desert heat to humid southern climates. Upgraded with high temperature resistance, low attenuation, low temperature coefficient and excellent load resistance, they can fully withstand the hot, windy and sandy environment in the desert. In moisture resistance tests, DAS Solar’s N-type modules demonstrate excellent insulation performance under 1500V DC voltage, with no insulation breakdown or surface damage. When subjected to extreme weather, including snow, high humidity, and high or low temperatures, the modules maintained their stability and power output, proving their resilience.

 

In addition, DAS Solar conducts 35mm hail load testing on the modules to test their impact resistance performance in the whole life cycle. After 11 impact tests, the module power degradation is only about 0.07%, far below the IEC standard of 5%, fully proving that DAS Solar modules can withstand the extreme weather conditions with a stable performance.
