DAS Solar Unveils 2.82m² TSiP 2.0 Tandem Module with 26.8% Efficiency

2025-06-18

Shanghai, Jun. 18, 2025 - DAS Solar, a leader in N-type PV technology, unveiled a series of cutting-edge products under its "One Core, Three Branches" innovation strategy. Among the highlights was the debut of the TSiP 2.0 perovskite/TOPCon four-terminal tandem module, co-developed with leading perovskite company UtmoLight. Featuring a large-format 2.82 m² design and achieving a certified efficiency of 26.8%, this next-generation module integrates the strengths of both perovskite and crystalline silicon technologies, offering commercial-scale potential and a clear roadmap toward surpassing the efficiency ceiling of traditional silicon.

The TSiP 2.0 module is built upon a novel architecture that employs a wide-bandgap, semi-transparent perovskite top cell. By optimizing the perovskites functional layers, adjusting its bandgap, and applying refined interfacial passivation techniques, the module enables highly efficient light harvesting. The tandem structure separates the solar spectrum for maximum utilization, shorter wavelengths are absorbed by the perovskite layer, while longer wavelengths pass through and are captured by the underlying TOPCon 5.0 crystalline silicon cell. This full-spectrum strategy dramatically boosts quantum efficiency and breaks through the limitations of single-junction cells, setting a new milestone for tandem PV innovation.

To fully realize the tandem potential, DAS Solar has embedded its most advanced TOPCon 5.0 cell at the core of the architecture. The cell incorporates Polyfinger structures and nano-scale light-trapping enhancements that significantly improve infrared absorption. Through precision laser patterning and advanced multi-layer anti-reflection coatings, the design efficiently captures photons that pass through the perovskite layer, pushing the modules overall conversion efficiency to 26.8%. This marks a major leap in the industrial viability of tandem technologies, particularly at large scale.

The successful development of this high-efficiency, mass-producible tandem module reflects DAS Solars long-standing commitment to R&D, collaborative innovation, and real-world deployment. The TSiP 2.0 module not only sets a new performance benchmark for tandem solutions but also signals a powerful pathway toward next-generation photovoltaic technology. As the industry seeks to break free from the efficiency limits of conventional silicon, DAS Solar's breakthrough offers a compelling, scalable solution that accelerates the global transition to clean, low-carbon energy.
